Encounter Edu provides an integrated live-education model in step with 21st Century learning.
Through unique partnerships and collaboration with experts in science, geography and exploration, we deliver on our partners’ and clients' visions by creating fresh and robust education programmes to engage and inspire young people. We work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to provide a framework for the topics we address.
Send us your brief or just an idea you have for working in education, and we will help you turn this into reality.
We have wide-ranging experience across many aspects of education and advocacy. We are particularly proud of our pioneering work in the following areas:
- Integrated resource writing and publication: We have innovated integrated teaching collections which include lessons plans, activity and student sheets, short video and use of 360VR.
- Live broadcast education: Since 2006, we have run online exchanges and live lessons from the deep field including Antarctica, the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, barricaded Gaza, war-torn Syria, and exploratory submersible dives.
- Virtual reality film production: Integrating empathy in student learning, we use 360 VR to create first person impressions to bring different peoples and environments to the classroom. We support teachers in using these technologies.
- Virtual student exchange programmes: We are experienced in setting up and running student exchange programmes. In a post 9/11 world, we ran four in-person student exchanges between the UK, Gulf and Pakistan. We also set up with the United Nations, the My Voice My School virtual student voice project pairing European and American students with their refugee peers in the Middle East.
