We all buy products made from plastic. Still, few of us know where these items, big and small, go after they've been used. Join our interview with a science film maker Ellie Mackay, connecting live from a National Geographic plastics field expedition in India, to discover the journey plastic takes after it has been used.

Session steps

1. Introduction (5 mins)
The presenter will open the session with a welcome and brief introduction to the theme of the week.

2. Expert Interview (10 mins)
The expert will share details about the journey that plastic takes from manufacturer to disposal and potentially into the environment.

3. Q&A and conclusion (15 mins)
The expert will then answer student's questions, pre-submitted by their teacher, relating to the theme of the week.
