It really was an incredible opportunity and we felt really privileged to take part. All the support materials on the website were amongst the best I have used and gave us so many ideas for activities in the classroom. The children loved the videos.

The whole experience from when we first heard about it has been very exciting. Before the actual call the students researched Svalbard and added the newly learned facts to our list. As they were learning, they began creating questions about what they would like to find out that they couldn't find online. Then as the daily emails with photos and write ups began arriving, more questions were created based on this information. Very neat experience on the actual day of the call to think we were Skyping with someone in the Arctic, a place most of us will never get to visit.
