How is the mBot similar to a driverless car? How is it different?

There are many similarities between the mBot and a full-size driverless car for humans. For example, they both use sensors to detect their environment. There are also several differences. For example, the mBot doesn't have brakes whereas a car for humans definitely needs brakes to help stop in time! Can you find all the similarities and differences? Can you name even more?
