These small creatures are some of the most colourful, varied and flamboyant animals on the reef. The name nudibranch comes from the Latin word nudus (naked) and Greek branchia (gills). In each of the gallery images, you will be able to see the frond-like protruding from the body. The XL Catlin Seaview Survey team enjoyed this finding these sea slugs so much, they took the time to photography some of their favourites.
