The reef at Agincourt is so impressive that there is a weather station, a helicopter landing platform, a permanent pontoon for divers and snorklers and an underwater observatory located there. The XL Catlin Seaview Survey team visited the site as part of the 2012 Great Barrier Reef expedition work.
