What changes can we see in the world?

This video supports learning about changes in the natural world. It contains three time-lapse sequences, each of which is played twice.

The first sequence shows a tree changing through the seasons. The second sequence shows a timelapse of a city through the day and night. The third sequence shows the tide coming in and going out over a beach.

Nature and climate change often happen over long periods, and these time-lapse sequences can be used as an introduction to the idea of changes in the world. These are all examples of cyclical changes in nature. These can be contrasted with human impacts on nature that tend to disrupt natural cycles and can lead to more long-lasting impacts.
