Encounter Edu is a finalist in the STEM category for Teach Primary Awards

Shortlist Primary

Encounter Edu is proud to be shortlisted for the prestigious Teach Primary awards’ STEM category with our Submarine STEM 7-11 resource which has reached approximately 50,000 students worldwide until now.

A brief introduction to the resource:

How big and how deep is the ocean? How do you launch a submarine with strong structures? Based on the submersible journeys undertaken as part of XL Catlin Deep Ocean Survey off Bermuda, the resource develops students’ ability to work scientifically. Using our exclusive galleries, videos and online 360 VR technology, students are fully immersed in the deep ocean. Throughout the units, students plan, carry out and evaluate scientific investigations around the forces and materials shaping submarine design.

Run by Teach Primary magazine, the Teach Primary awards help teachers seek out the best educational resources to support their KS1 and KS2 pupils judged by a panel of primary experts and educators.

Discover the finalists and the awards here.

The next stage will see the finalists assessed by the expert panel of primary authors, leaders, consultants and educators. Our fingers are crossed while the judges assess the six competitors in each category! Stay tuned for their verdicts in October 2019.
