London Live: London schools link up with Syria

News 2015 London Live Hero

This is a spotlight on schools linking across London to pupils in Syria in a bid to better understand the difficulties children face in the conflict zone.

“GCSE pupils at Oaklands School in Bethnal Green spent the morning connecting with children living in Damascus via video call. The 'My Voice My School' project is funded by the Department for International Development and run in partnership with The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and London-based community interest company, Digital Explorer. It's hoped the scheme will help young Londoners to exchange experiences and ideas with their peers across borders.”
