The BBC Spotlight has reported on the My Voice-My School exchange between the Devonport High School for Boys and Al-Shajarah/Al-Ramleh School in Homs, Syria taking place in December 2016.

The report highlights how friendships are being forged between school children in war-torn Syria and Devonport. Traditional lessons have been put aside and students have been using live webchats to gain a better understanding of what life is like in different parts of the world. The reality of seeing and speaking with youngsters dealing with conflict was a valuable lesson.
